for each other, while Suriya has also opened up about a missed opportunity to work with the filmmaker. At the pre-release event of Don’t Trouble The Trouble, the topic was brought up once again. SS Rajamouli, who attended the event as a special guest, found himself facing the much-anticipated question with Suriya seated with him. What followed was an interesting response from the filmmaker. SS Rajamouli also praised Suriya’s recent successes and spoke about his upcoming film Scene.
SS Rajamouli On Working With Suriya
SS Rajamouli attended the pre-release event of Shashank Yeleti’s Don’t Trouble The Trouble starring Fahadh Faasil on Sunday as a special guest. Suriya was also present at the event, where the filmmaker was asked when audiences could expect him to collaborate with the actor. Rajamouli said he had anticipated the question but wanted the spotlight to remain on the upcoming Fahadh Faasil-starrer.
"I expected this question and came ready with the answer for it. First, we came here to promote the film, Don't Trouble the Trouble. If I talk anything about me and Suriya, that will be the headline; Don't Trouble the Trouble will go into the sidelines," the filmmaker said.
However, he did offer a glimpse into how he views a potential collaboration with Suriya, adding, "Whenever we do a film, it is going to be really special."
Rajamouli Praises Suriya’s Recent Successes
During the interaction, Rajamouli also congratulated Suriya on the commercial success of Karuppu and Vishwanath And Sons. Calling the back-to-back successes a "double dhamaka," he extended his best wishes to the actor for Scene, his upcoming film with director Jithu Madhavan. Speaking about the promotional content for Scene, Rajamouli said, "It is looking superb." The film features Suriya as a police officer and also stars Naslen and Nazriya.
Interestingly, Suriya has previously spoken about missing an opportunity to work with Rajamouli. The actor had admitted that he regretted not being part of one of the filmmaker’s projects and said he was open to collaborating in the future. "We all make mistakes in life and even I did. I missed out on a big opportunity to work with Rajamouli. But I’m ready to do a film with him if he considers. Even if there’s one single scene in Baahubali, I’m going to do it," Suriya revealed this in 2017.
