What is the story about?
Sidharth Malhotra is set to turn a saviour for the people in the upcoming The Vvaan: Force of the Forrest. The upcoming Hindi fantasy-adventure film also
stars Tamannaah Bhatia, and so far, what we know is that it blends folklore, mythology, action, and mystery. Infact, it explores Bollywood's current favourite genre of fantasy-meets-real world, generating a lot of curiosity with its stunning visuals and scanty details about its core plot. Ahead of its theatrical release on September 25, the makers unveiled its official trailer, teasing the audience about its larger-than-life story based on Indian legends.
The Vvaan's inspiration
On September 16, the trailer dropped after days of teasing the audience with its sneak peek, teaser, posters and songs. As per reports, The Vvaan draws deep inspiration from the 400-year-old folklore of the 16th-century Van Devi Temple located near Bihta, close to Patna in Bihar. The trailer further cements that with its overall vibe, dialogues, characterisation and the recently launched Chhathi Maiyasong that has received a thumbs-up from the fans.
What does the trailer show?
Without revealing the central plot and suspense, the trailer of The Vvaan shows Sidharth Malhotra flaunting a fierce, warrior-like avatar. From fighting a tiger to a bull, the trailer is loaded with spiritual references, the most evident one being that of the Nandi imagery and trident, which add to the mythological feel. It also hints at a world that is touched by Indian folklore, where human conflicts might run into supernatural forces and ancient beliefs. The trailer focuses on the atmosphere, symbolism and scale of the film, rather than revealing the whole story.
The film's tagline states, "Baagh uski dahaad hai… Nandi uski shakti. Aur Vvaan… uski kahaani," suggesting that the story will be about power, nature, faith and a superlative central character. But the makers have kept the exact plot details under wraps.

Cast of The Vvaan
The Vaan is set around an unknown legend, a powerful protagonist and a world where folklore may come alive The film features Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia in the lead roles. While Sidharth seems to be playing a mysterious warrior, not much has been revealed about Tamannaah's character apart from being Sidharth's onscreen wife. The supporting cast comprises of Sunil Grover, Maniesh Paul, Shweta Tiwari and Anup Soni. Infact some scenes of Sunil Grover look promising, suggesting that he might be seen in a new avatar, possibly negative.
About The Vvaan: Force of the Forrest
The Vvaan uses a lot of mythological symbolism. The tiger, bull, Nandi and warrior suggest that nature and divine motifs are important to the story. The film seems to reference Lord Shiva too. Even the movie title draws a connection with the forest and its secret powers.
Directed by Deepak Mishra, Arunabh Kumar is also associated with the film and it is produced by Ektaa Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms, along withTVF Motion Pictures and 11:11 Productions. The project marks TVF's foray into a big-screen fantasy spectacle of ambitious proportions.
