At an event in Mumbai, he said, "Film institutes are always the best place to be around because you see people with so many dreams, talent bursting with so much infectious energy. My dream is that at some point I can become an acting coach, give acting tips, and share my experiences." "It is something that I would love to do, not only to impart knowledge but also because I’m in a phase in my career where I can feel saturated, and I’ll get so much energy from the newer people," added the actor. He spoke at a session called Tribute to Legendary Filmmakers Raj Kapoor and Guru Dutt. Before this, Ranbir had expressed his desire to sit in the director's chair. "I am dying to direct a movie. I have actually started a writer's room recently, and I am trying to inspire myself with the 2 ideas I have been starting to work on but it's definitely on my to-do list in the next couple of years," he told fans during a live session on Instagram.
