Govinda and Sunita Ahuja’s relationship has been through murky waters recently. The latter, now a reality show star, has been cryptically hinting at her
superstar husband’s affairs. Sunita has grabbed attention for her bold statements and allegations about Govinda and his relationships outside their marriage. She recently participated in Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa, and the actor made an appearance on the show for her. Now, in a latest interview, Govinda addressed allegations made by Sunita. The actor-politician said he looks at her claims as her way of loving him.
Govinda reacts to Sunita Ahuja's claims about his extramarital affairs
In an interview with ANI, Govinda said, “Voh mujhe pyaar se gaali deti hai aur main kha leta hu. Mujhe aisa lagta hai ki joh joh jahan jahan hai, voh apna vyaktitva lekar jahan prastut kiya upar wale ne, jis khanche mein voh hai, agar voh nahi hota saath mein toh hume kaamiyabi nahi milti. Hum aise hote hi nahi. Humare ghar parivaar ke kaafi bacche joh bade ho gaye, uspe uska haq hai. She was also kind to them.”
Govinda on mudslinging
However, he further questioned the mudslinging that has been happening. “Bohot si cheezein hai joh bayan nahi ki jati hai aur shabdon mein kabhi nahi. Agar thoda sa bahari roop se taaruf karva du in sab cheezeon ka, toh duri banane ke liye, tauhmat lagane ki zarurat hai kya? Aadmi usko escape samajhta hai. Kaamiyabi ke liye burai zaruri hai kya? Sometimes, voh thoda easy hota hai. Sunita chaar tarife karti ho ya ho jati hai, phir ek burai karti hai. Mujhe usmein prem zyada nazar aata hai,” Govinda added.
Govinda appears on Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa
Govinda appeared on Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa in the initial episodes. He took a dig at Sunita’s statement that she would have fired a bullet straight into his chest. Govinda accidentally shot himself in the leg in 2024 and had to be hospitalised. Sunita was not in Mumbai at the time of the incident. Shilpa Shetty visited the hospital and asked about Sunita. Govinda said she went to visit a temple. Shetty jokingly asked him, “Toh kisne goli maari?”
In that context, Sunita told Hindi Rush, "Govinda told a half-baked story. I told Shilpa that if I had pulled the trigger, I would’ve shot him in the chest, not on his foot. If you are doing something, do it well; otherwise, don’t do it." The actor addressed this statement on Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa.
Sunita had revealed in a previous interview that she doesn’t live with Govinda. She has an independent apartment for her, daughter Tina, and son Yashvardhan.
