What is the story about?
Nagarjuna Akkineni is one of the most prominent stars of Telugu cinema. Though he has not limited himself to the language cinema, as he also worked in various
other industries, including both Hindi and Tamil. Now, the veteran actor is all set to create a century; his 100th film, tentatively titled King100, has kept fans awaiting for the official announcement, which might be announced after production is complete. The excitement among fans is soaring high beyond Telugu audiences as Tabu is reportedly playing opposite the actor. The actors are not collaborating for the first time. Take a look.
Tabu Opposite Nagarjuna In King100
King 100 marks Nagarjuna’s 100th film, which will feature Bollywood superstar Tabu playing opposite him. According to Variety India, Tabu will be featured in the role of the antagonist in the movie, which makes it a reunion between her and Nagarjuna after 28 years.
Directed by RA Karthik, the movie recently completed its first schedule and is produced by Annapurna Studios. King 100 is in production stages and is a complete commercial entertainer. It will bring Nagarjuna to the big screen with a de-ageing technology, spanning years from 25 years to 60 years of age. The film also features Sushmita Bhatt and Vijayendra in key roles, with reports suggesting the Family Man actor Ravindra Vijay in the cast.
Tabu X Nagarjuna
Their last project before the upcoming King100 was Aavida Maa Aavide, a Telugu comedy-drama, which hit theatres in 1998, exactly 28 years ago. The film stars Nagarjuna as police inspector Vikrant and Tabu as his wife Archana. Soon, their marriage falls apart due to growing misunderstandings and a love triangle, after Vikrant’s love with another woman.
Tabu and Nagarjuna also worked in the Telugu film Ninne Pelladata, which was released in 1996, a hit at the box office, and which later won various accolades. Earlier, they shared screen space in the film Sisindri (1995).
On Their Work Fronts
Tabu was recently seen in the horror comedy Bhoot Bangla, with Akshay Kumar, Wamiqa Gabbi, Paresh Rawal and others. Beyond regional cinema, Tabu played the role of Sister Franchesa in the hit movie franchise, Dune: Prophecy. Her most notable work includes Andhadhun, Maachis, Chaandni Bar and many more.
Nagarjuna, on the other is known for films such as Shiva (1989), the cult-classic Manmadhudu (2002), and Annamayya (1997). Apart from Shiva, his famous Hindi cinema work includes Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva, Khuda Gawah, Criminal and Zakhm.
It was already known that Tabu and Nagarjuna would be seen together in King100, but the report of Tabu versus Nagarjuna will surely create a frenzy among the audiences.
