The Devil Wears Prada 2
Written by Aline Brosh McKenna and directed by David Frankel, The Devil Wears Prada 2 is the sequel to the 2006 film, The Devil Wears Prada. Starring Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway, the comedy drama is scheduled to arrive in Indian theatres on May 1, 2026. It features Meryl and Anne reprising their roles as Miranda and Andy. It follows the story of Andy returning to the fashion world after 20 years. The star cast also includes Emily Blunt, Stanley Tucci, Justin Theroux and Kenneth Branagh.
Hokum
Directed and written by Damian McCarthy, Hokum is a horror film starring Adam Scott, Peter Coonan, and David Wilmot. It revolves around the story of novelist who travels to Inn in Ireland to spread his parents' ashes. Set to release in India on May 7, the movie has been collectively produced by Image Nation Abu Dhabi, Team Thrives, Spooky Pictures, Tailored Films, and
Cweature Features.
Mortal Kombat II
Featuring Jessica McNamee, Josh Lawson, Ludi Lin, and Mehcad Brooks, Mortal Kombat II will be released in Indian theatres on May 8. The film, a sequel to Mortal Kombat, has been directed by Simon McQuoid. On the other hand, Jeremy Slater has written the film. While the martial arts film features its original star cast, Karl Urban, Adeline Rudolph, and Tati Gabrielle are new additions to it.
The Sheep Detectives
Based on Leonie Swann's novel Three Bags Full, The Sheep Detectives is a mystery comedy which will arrive in Indian cinemas on May 8. The film's star cast includes Hugh Jackman, Emma Thompson, Nicholas Braun, Nicholas Galitzine, Molly Gordon, and Hong Chau. It revolves around the story of shepherd George who loves reading murder mysteries to his sheep. Later when he dies, the sheep decides to solve the crime.
In The Grey
Written and directed by Guy Ritchie, In The Grey is set to hit big screen on May 15. Starring Henry Cavill, Jake Gyllenhaal, Eiza González, and others, it is about group of elite agents who are tasked to reclaiming a stolen fortune. It has been produced by C2 and Toff Guy Films. The star cast also includes Kristofer Hivju, Fisher Stevens, and Rosamund Pike.
Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu
Directed by Jon Favreau, Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu features Pedro Pascal and Jeremy Allen White. The film, produced by Lucasfilm Ltd. and Fairview Entertainment, will arrive in India on May 22. It revolves around the story of Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin and his young apprentice Grogu who are asked to Rotta the Hutt.
