Varun Dhawan is among the latest celebrities to have spoken up on the ongoing student protests in different parts of the country. Backing the students
and their right to ask questions, Varun called them the future of India. He highlighted that peaceful protest is a democratic right but hoped that it does not drift away from the original issue.
Varun Dhawan reacts to student protest
Taking to Instagram, Varun shared a note which read, "Students are the future of our country. When a student's dream is crushed, it's not just one dream that's lost; it's the dream of an entire family. They have every right to ask questions when they feel the system has failed them. Their voices deserve to be heard, protected, and addressed with sincerity."
The Badlapur made an appeal to the government to listen to the problems of the students and provide them a fair resolution. "I appeal to the authorities to engage with these concerns and work towards a fair, transparent, and meaningful resolution that ensures accountability."
At last, Varun hoped that the ongoing protest does not become about anything other than the original issue. He wrote, "I also sincerely hope this remains a students' protest, the focus must remain on the issues affecting the students and the solutions they deserve. Peaceful protest is a democratic right, and every student should be allowed to exercise that right. Jai Hind."
Bollywood A-Listers Voice Support To Students
Salman Khan was among the first A-listers to come forward in support of the students. He took to X to share that he believes 'this andolan' by the youth is the right approach and lauded the students for carrying out the protest peacefully. He added, "I am sure the government will also give them all the support n make it a stronger educational system. It's a win-win situation."
After Salman, Alia Bhatt came forward and said that she has been humbled by the courage of students. She wrote, "Behind every student standing their ground is a dream, a family's hope, a journey of countless sacrifices. They represent not just themselves but everyone who has supported them, while creating a better path for those who will come after them."
Among others who have spoken up on the matter are Kamal Haasan, R Madhavan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Twinkle Khanna, Ananya Panday, Sara Ali Khan, Imran Khan, Nora Fatehi, Avinash Tiwary, and Malaika Arora.
