Prabhas’ latest film, The Raja Saab, has released in theatres today (January 9). Following the trend of sequels, this horror-comedy helmed by Maruthi will
be returning soon with the next part. The Raja Saab has received negative to decent responses from the audience and critics. Amid this, the sequel has confirmed that Prabhas will be back after the events of The Raja Saab. Before the end credits rolled out, the makers announced the title of the next part along with a teaser glimpse. The release date of the film is yet to be confirmed. Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal and Riddhi Kumar are also expected to be a part of The Raja Saab sequel.
The Raja Saab sequel
In The Raja Saab’s final couple of moments, Prabhas’ character, named Raja Saab, rescues his grandmother, Ganga Devi (Zarina Wahab), from the trap of Kanakaraja (Sanjay Dutt). He performs a puja (prayer) for the soul of his grandfather to attain salvation. Happy to know that Ganga Devi’s Alzeimers's has made her forget a traumatic past, he exits the frame and enters a mystical place. Raja Saab is now in an old circus arena. Cutting through the silence is an anonymous person, who looks similar to Joaquin Phoenix’s Arthur Fleck in Joker. It is revealed that the mysterious man is a doppelgänger of Raja Saab. The title of the sequel is Rajasaab Circus 1935.
The Raja Saab plot
The film follows the story of Raja Saab, an orphan, who lives with his grandmother Ganga Devi in a distant village in Andhra Pradesh. He is the heartthrob of the area. Raja Saab’s grandmother is an Alzheimer’s patient. She desires to reunite with her husband, Kanakaraja (Sanjay Dutt). According to her, he has been on the move to track down a loyal person from the kingdom who has been accused of theft. One day, Raja Saab notices someone similar to his grandfather and vows to reunite his grandparents. The adventure isn’t ordinary.
The mission to find his grandfather leads him to a dilapidated bungalow within the Narsapur Forest. Blessed with powers to manipulate human minds and hypnotise them, Kanakaraja is dead and now a ghost. Raja Saab has to defeat his evil and twisted mind to protect his grandmother from the deception.
