Philadelphia's Franklin Institute will be the first venue to host 'Star Wars: The Experience,' an official exhibition celebrating the 50th anniversary of the iconic franchise. Opening on February 13, 2027, this exhibition will be the only official 'Star Wars'
event during the anniversary year. It is a collaborative effort between The Franklin Institute, Lucasfilm, Disney Consumer Products, and MDSX. The 18,000-square-foot exhibition will feature immersive galleries and interactive experiences, showcasing over 70 artifacts from the Lucasfilm archives, many of which will be displayed publicly for the first time. Highlights include costumes and props from the series, such as Darth Vader's costume and Darth Maul's lightsaber. The exhibition will run in Philadelphia until September 6, 2027, before embarking on a five-year tour across North America.
