Malayan Banking Bhd (Maybank), Malaysia's largest bank by assets, has officially launched its new headquarters at Menara Merdeka Maybank, the world's second-tallest building. The ceremony was officiated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and attended
by several high-profile figures, including Finance Minister II Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan and Maybank chairman Tan Sri Zamzamzairani Mohd Isa. The new headquarters occupies 33 floors and houses about 7,000 employees, including subsidiaries like Maybank Islamic Bhd and Maybank Investment Bank Bhd. Prime Minister Anwar emphasized the importance of integrity, good governance, and professionalism in the financial sector, noting that these values are crucial for maintaining public trust and sound governance.
