ITP Aero, a Spanish aerospace company, has expanded its role in the maintenance of Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engines by beginning to repair and overhaul low-pressure turbine (LPT) modules. This expansion marks a shift from their previous focus on design
and manufacturing to include module-level aftermarket services. The company will handle complete LPT modules from various Trent 1000 variants, aiming to process about 100 modules annually. The first modules were completed at ITP Aero's Ajalvir facility in early 2026, with full operational capacity expected by the second quarter. This move supports Rolls-Royce's efforts to introduce redesigned components and durability enhancements as part of the Trent 1000 XE program, which aims to improve engine reliability and performance.
