Dancehall artists Busy Signal and Wayne Wonder are set to be honored with the Reggae Icon Award during the Grand Gala celebrations in Kingston, Jamaica, on August 6, 2026. The announcement was made by Olivia Grange, Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment,
and Sport, during a post-Cabinet press briefing. The event will also celebrate the 10th anniversary of Kingston being recognized as a UNESCO creative city of music and mark the 50th year of women serving in the Jamaica Defence Force.
