Boeing and MBDA showcased the MQ-28 Ghost Bat collaborative combat aircraft equipped with the Meteor air-to-air missile at the Farnborough Airshow. This marks the first appearance of the MQ-28 at the event, following its display at the ILA Berlin expo.
Boeing Defense, Space and Security CEO Steve Parker highlighted the aircraft's design for rapid weapon integration, demonstrated by a previous test in Australia where the MQ-28 fired an AIM-120 missile. The Ghost Bat's open architecture allows for quick adaptation, with new variants featuring an internal weapons bay capable of carrying two AIM-120s or four small diameter bombs. General Atomics also presented its YFQ-42A Dark Merlin CCA alongside MBDA's Spear air-launched weapons, emphasizing the integration capabilities of collaborative combat aircraft.
