The University of Richmond's men's lacrosse program has announced that five of its incoming freshman players have been named to the Nike Lacrosse/Inside Lacrosse Freshman Rankings. This achievement places Richmond's selections eighth nationally among
all Division I programs, making them the only Atlantic 10 team represented on this prestigious list of top incoming freshmen. Notably, two of these players are ranked within the nation's top 40. The five ranked freshmen for Richmond are Midfielder Gavin Gilmore at No. 32, attackman Matthew Ford at No. 39, defenseman Michael Marino at No. 53, attackman Hunter Harris at No. 69, and defenseman Matthew Meredith at No. 99. These players hail from various high school programs across the country, including Paul VI (Va.), Hill Academy (Ont.), Don Bosco Prep (N.J.), Western Reserve Academy, and Boys' Latin.
