What's Happening?
The Katarina String Quartet, founded in 2022 at McGill University, is currently performing in Northern Michigan as part of The Sound Garden Project, a collaboration between Glen Arbor Arts Center and Interlochen Public Radio. The quartet, consisting of Maya
Enstad, Celia Morin, Jeanel Liang, and Jérôme Chiasson, is known for winning the Grand Prize at the 2025 Fischoff Chamber Music Competition and serving as the Graduate Resident String Quartet at The Juilliard School from 2024 to 2026. Their performance includes Haydn's String Quartet in C Major, Op. 50, No. 2, and a Quebecois arrangement of Acadian tunes. The quartet's culminating concert will be held on July 9th at Oliver Art Center.
