What's Happening?
Hugh Hewitt, a political commentator and radio talk show host, is set to serve as the master of ceremonies for the Declaration 250 event at Perry's Victory Monument on Put-in-Bay. This event, scheduled for August 1 and 2, commemorates the true signing
date of the Declaration of Independence. The celebration will feature a variety of activities, including a Freedom Village, a flyover by the US Air Force Reserve Command 445th Airlift Wing, and a meet and greet with descendants of Abraham Lincoln. Musical performances will include acts such as Bob Gatewood and Calabash, Jefferson Starship, the US Navy Great Lakes Band, and the OSU Marching Pep Band. Lee Greenwood is also slated to perform, followed by a BGSU Band parade and fireworks.
