American Express has commenced construction on its new global headquarters at 2 World Trade Center in Lower Manhattan. The 55-story skyscraper, designed by Foster + Partners and developed by Silverstein Properties, will span nearly 2 million square feet
and accommodate up to 10,000 employees. The project is part of the final commercial development at the World Trade Center site, with completion expected by 2031.
