Lockheed Martin has unveiled the PAC-3 Adapted Capability Effector (ACE), a new interceptor designed to counter air and missile threats at a reduced cost. The announcement was made in Farnborough, England, highlighting the interceptor's affordability
compared to the current PAC-3 MSE variant, which costs approximately $4 million per missile. The PAC-3 ACE aims to provide a budget-friendly solution for American and allied forces, building on the performance of the PAC-3 MSE. Initial production is expected to commence within 36 months. The introduction of this interceptor comes at a critical time for Ukraine, which relies heavily on PAC-3 missiles to intercept Russian ballistic threats. The Ukrainian Armed Forces have reportedly exhausted their PAC-3 interceptors amid ongoing Russian missile strikes, underscoring the urgent need for replenishment.
