16:3 Studios, a new film production studio, has been established at ACU with the goal of creating critically acclaimed Christian films. Founded by freshman multimedia major Isaac Peery, the studio quickly grew to over 30 members within four weeks. The
initiative aims to provide a platform for students of all skill levels, including those new to filmmaking, to collaborate and produce high-quality short films. The studio's name, 16:3 Studios, was inspired by Proverbs 16:3, which states, 'commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans,' reflecting its mission to spread Christian messages through inspiring storytelling. Unlike traditional film festivals, 16:3 Studios plans to produce multiple films throughout the year and submit them to external film festivals such as South by Southwest and Sundance.
