The Pilgangoora mine, operated by PLS Group in Western Australia, has integrated ore sorting as a core component of its lithium processing operations. This development is part of the P1000 expansion project, which increased the mine's spodumene concentrate
production capacity by 47% to one million tonnes per annum. The project, completed in early 2025, involved upgrades to the concentrator and infrastructure, and marked a shift in how ore sorting is utilized.
