for Cardiff and is widely regarded as one of the greatest rugby players in history, having also represented Wales, the British & Irish Lions, and the Barbarians. The ceremony included the unveiling of a portrait of Edwards by artist Nicholas J Smith and coincided with the launch of a new book and exhibition detailing the club's history. The Sir Gareth Edwards Stand will be sponsored by RSK, a long-standing supporter of Cardiff Rugby. This tribute follows the renaming of the south stand in 2023 to the Peter Thomas Stand, honoring the club's late Life President.
