The Black Music Action Coalition (BMAC) has announced that Common, Patti LaBelle, and Public Enemy will be honored at its 2026 Gala, presented by Live Nation. The event is scheduled for September 24, 2026, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills,
California. Common will receive the BMAC Harry Belafonte Change Agent Award, Patti LaBelle will be honored with the BMAC Icon Award, and Public Enemy will be presented with the BMAC Social Impact Award. In addition to these artists, several music executives will also be recognized. Interscope’s Nicole Wyskoarko is set to receive the inaugural Sylvia Rhone Visionary Award, Empire’s Tina Davis will be honored with the BMAC Clarence Avant Trailblazer Award, and Universal Music Group’s Global Impact Team will receive the BMAC 365 Award. The BMAC Founders Award will be presented to Lee Anderson, Marty Diamond, Lenore Kinder, Kevin Shivers, and Mallory Smith from The Team. Radio personality Kenny Burns will return to host the annual gala.
