Open Jar Studios, a leading rehearsal facility for Broadway productions, is expanding its operations in Times Square with a new 40,000-square-foot complex in the Paramount Building at 1501 Broadway. This new facility will complement their existing 50,000-square-foot
location at 1601 Broadway. The expansion will introduce 17 additional spaces designed for rehearsals, auditions, and training for theatrical artists. Open Jar founder Jeff Whiting stated that this expansion is timely, given a significant increase in creative development and the growing need for more capacity. The original Open Jar Studios, which opened in 2019, has hosted rehearsals for notable shows such as 'The Lost Boys' and 'Moulin Rouge!' Backers of Open Jar include the Shubert Organization and National Artists Management.
