Behringer is set to release the BCR32, an updated version of its cult-classic MIDI controller, the BCR2000. The original BCR2000, released in 2004, gained popularity among electronic musicians for its affordability and extensive control, even being used

The new BCR32 incorporates the formerly unofficial Zaquencer firmware, developed by Christian Stöcklmeier of ZAQ Audio, which transformed the BCR2000 into a standalone MIDI step sequencer. This collaboration means the BCR32 will allow users to switch between controller and sequencer modes without modification. The BCR32 features 32 assignable rotary encoders, 20 assignable buttons, an OLED display, and expanded connectivity including USB-C, MIDI, CV/gate pairs, and sync in/out, enabling control of analogue and modular gear.
