What's Happening?
Jean Paul Gaultier has collaborated with online 3D printing service Sculpteo to produce components for five haute couture looks using Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) technology. The garments incorporate intricate designs printed in TPU and PA12, which are supplied
in a raw state for further handwork by the couture atelier. This collaboration allows for the creation of complex geometries that traditional couture techniques cannot achieve within the time constraints of a runway show. The flexibility and precision of TPU meet both creative and technical requirements, enabling the realization of highly complex concepts. The printed elements serve as a base for further customization, demonstrating the integration of advanced manufacturing techniques in high fashion.
