What's Happening?
Riverside Resources and Questcorp Mining have successfully completed a series of geophysical surveys at the La Union Project in Sonora, Mexico. These surveys, which include an aeromagnetic drone survey and an induced polarisation (IP) ground geophysics
survey, are part of the companies' ongoing drilling operations. The aeromagnetic survey covered 193 kilometers across 145 flight lines and 55 kilometers of tie lines, providing crucial data that is now being integrated into the current summer drilling program. The IP ground survey, consisting of five lines, has also concluded, with processed results expected soon. These surveys aim to enhance the interpretation of current core drilling activities at key areas such as Union, Union North, and Jabali. The data is being used to refine existing drill targets and identify new ones, potentially defining broader exploration zones.
Why It's Important?
The completion of these geophysical surveys is significant for Riverside Resources and Questcorp Mining as it provides a more comprehensive understanding of the La Union Project's geological framework. The data from these surveys will help in refining drilling targets and expanding exploration zones, which could lead to the discovery of new mineral deposits. This development is crucial for the companies' strategic planning and could enhance their competitive position in the mining industry. The improved imaging of subsurface structures and the identification of structural trends are expected to support the companies' efforts in maximizing the project's mineral potential, thereby potentially increasing their economic returns.
What's Next?
With the geophysical surveys completed, Riverside Resources and Questcorp Mining are now focused on integrating the data into their ongoing drilling operations. The companies are processing drill core samples and sending them to laboratories for assays. The results from these assays will provide further insights into the mineral composition and potential yield of the project. As the phase-two exploration program continues, the companies are likely to prioritize and expand their drilling targets based on the new data, potentially leading to further discoveries and development opportunities at the La Union Project.
