What's Happening?
The Catholic Youth Ministry (CYM) in the Diocese of Wilmington is planning a series of events for the 2026-27 season that combine athletics with faith formation. These events include a faith and family night on October 24 at Subaru Park in Chester, Pennsylvania,
where the Philadelphia Union will play against the New England Revolution. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in pregame or halftime activities, Bible study, and a Q&A session with Union players. Additionally, on September 1, the Wilmington Blue Rocks will honor CYM during their game against Hudson Valley, featuring a 'bark in the park' night for families. The University of Delaware will host a 'night of champions' on November 28, where CYM athletes can participate in a welcoming tunnel for the Blue Hens. CYM is also coordinating with the Philadelphia 76ers for a potential faith-and-family night, hoping for an on-court experience when the Minnesota Timberwolves visit, as Donte DiVincenzo, a Timberwolves player, is a CYM basketball alumnus.
