Prior to his work in the private sector, McGovern spent nearly a decade at the U.S. SEC’s division of enforcement, where he rose to the position of assistant director in the asset management unit. He also practiced law for ten years at Stroock & Stroock & Lavan as a litigation associate and special counsel. McGovern holds a juris doctor and a bachelor’s degree from Boston College.
