Stillwater Animal Welfare is participating in the ASPCA's Rescue Effect campaign by waiving adoption fees for dogs and cats on August 6-7. This initiative is part of a broader effort to address overcrowding in animal shelters across the U.S., where nearly
6 million pets entered shelters in 2025. The campaign aims to facilitate adoptions and provide medical care for animals. Stillwater Animal Welfare currently has over 100 animals awaiting adoption. The ASPCA is supporting this effort with a $2 million investment, funding fee-waived adoption events through October.
