American defense technology company Ondas has announced an agreement to acquire Aran Research & Development's manufacturing operations, specifically Aran Defense, for NIS 100 million ($33.9 million). This acquisition, announced on July 24, aims to bolster
Ondas' engineering, manufacturing, and production capabilities within Israel. Aran Defense provides engineering and manufacturing services to Israel’s Defense Ministry, international defense companies, and other government and national security clients. The transaction is part of Ondas’ strategy to build a vertically integrated defense technology company focused on autonomous systems, including drones, counter-UAS systems, robotic ground platforms, and systems for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions. Aran Defense generated an estimated $17 million in revenue in 2025, an increase from approximately $12 million in 2024, with projections of $26 million for 2026.

The engineering teams from Aran will continue to support the development of counter-UAS systems, ISR platforms, loitering munitions, and autonomous aerial and ground robotic systems. Ondas anticipates that Aran’s capabilities will accelerate development cycles and strengthen manufacturing readiness, allowing the company to meet urgent customer needs by expanding its scalable manufacturing footprint.
