Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort has announced the appointment of Abdullatif Al Farsi as its new General Manager. This appointment is significant as it makes Al Farsi the youngest Omani to lead a luxury resort in the Sultanate. Al Farsi joined the resort in 2019
as a Front Office Manager and has since held various roles, including Executive Assistant Manager – Rooms, Resident Manager, and Acting General Manager. With over 15 years of operational experience, including more than seven years with Anantara Hotels & Resorts, Al Farsi has a robust background in the hospitality industry. His previous experience includes roles at Crowne Plaza Muscat, Crowne Plaza Muscat Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre, Crowne Plaza Sohar, and Millennium Hotels & Resorts. Al Farsi has also completed Executive Studies in Property Management at Cornell University. The resort, located 2,000 meters above sea level on the rim of a canyon in the Al Hajar Mountains, offers guests a unique opportunity to experience Omani culture through various excursions.
