Commas, a 13,000-square-foot food hall located in the Ellsworth Place mall in downtown Silver Spring, is hosting a grand reopening celebration this weekend. The food hall, which initially debuted last year, is introducing two new vendors: Kellem Coffee
and Nips Juice House. Nips Juice House previously operated a location on Cameron Street. Additionally, two popular returning vendors, Tokoa Cheesesteaks and Tato’s, which offers loaded fries and baked potatoes, are back after a temporary closure since June. Tato's had also expanded to a second location in Westfield Montgomery Mall last year. The reopening follows a period of new management for Ellsworth Place, with Syracuse-based Spinoso Real Estate Group taking over leasing and management in 2025 after the previous owner, GBT Realty Corporation, became delinquent on a $69 million loan. The mall had faced challenges, including the departure of long-term tenants like TJ Maxx, TD Bank, and Outback Steakhouse.
