Qantas Airways is set to introduce the Airbus A350-1000ULR aircraft, which will allow the airline to redeploy its Boeing 787-9s to other routes. The A350-1000ULRs will be used for long-haul routes such as Sydney-London and Sydney-New York JFK, offering
better payload and capability. This strategic move is part of Qantas' 'Project Sunrise' initiative, aimed at expanding its network and enhancing its long-haul service offerings. The introduction of these aircraft is expected to begin in April 2027, with all 12 units delivered by 2029.
