What's Happening?
Sanctuary Camelback Mountain Resort & Spa in Paradise Valley is embarking on a multiyear renovation project after transitioning to independent ownership and management. The resort is now under a joint partnership between Berger Holdings and RJ Hospitality.
This change marks a return to independent local ownership for the 53-acre property. The renovation will be conducted in phases, beginning with a comprehensive interior refresh of all 110 guestrooms and casitas, scheduled to start in summer 2027 and conclude by September 2027. Following this, a second phase in 2028 will focus on enhancing the resort's food and beverage outlets, including the Elements fine dining restaurant, Jade Bar cocktail bar, and Table XII private dining experience, as well as the Sanctuary Spa. Hart+Howerton is serving as the architect and designer for the project. Prior to this broader renovation, the resort had already completed a separate $7 million renovation of its meetings and events spaces, which debuted in January and covers 8,000 square feet.
Why It's Important?
