Turkish Airlines has announced a significant expansion of its flight training capabilities by signing an agreement with Turkish company Havelsan for eight full flight simulators and four flight training devices. This deal was revealed at the Farnborough
Airshow and follows a separate order with CAE for additional simulators. The airline is already utilizing Havelsan simulators for training pilots on Airbus A320neo/ceo and Boeing 737 MAXs and 737NGs. Turkish Airlines is constructing a new simulator facility, expected to be completed by 2028, which will house these new simulators. By 2033, Turkish Airlines plans to operate one of Europe's largest flight training centers across three campuses.
