ABS has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with leading Korean and U.S. research institutions to advance innovation in the shipbuilding and maritime sectors. The Korea-U.S. Shipbuilding Partnership Center (KUSPC) will serve as a hub for collaboration,
connecting industry, academia, and research institutions. The Korea Research Institute of Ships and Ocean Engineering (KRISO), the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KIAT), and Texas A&M University are key partners in this initiative. The MOU aims to foster cooperation in next-generation technologies, joint research, and knowledge exchange. ABS will contribute its expertise in classification, certification, and maritime safety, while KRISO and KIAT will focus on engineering research and industrial technology innovation.
