What's Happening?
Rocket Lab has developed GHOST, a containerized launch system for its Electron and HASTE rockets, aimed at enhancing operational flexibility. GHOST, or Global Hypersonic & Orbital Spaceport Technology, allows for the deployment of launch infrastructure
in standard shipping containers, facilitating launches from new locations. The first installation will be at Alaska's Pacific Spaceport Complex, linked to a $266 million Space Force contract for suborbital launches. This system reduces the need for fixed infrastructure, offering strategic advantages for military and allied operations.
