Emanuele Bossi, an undergraduate student at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, has been named a 2026 20 Twenties winner by Aviation Week. Bossi, who is studying Data Science and Software Engineering, is recognized for his work in aerospace systems
resilience. He led a team in the EuroControl Performance Review Commission Data Challenge, developing an AI framework to estimate aircraft takeoff weight, which is crucial for safety and efficiency. His project was among the top 25 out of 132 international teams and will be presented at the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics' SciTech Forum 2026. Bossi is also working on a framework for predicting disruptions in air traffic management systems.
