Edgewood High School has announced the appointment of Tim Tallbacka as its new varsity boys basketball coach. Tallbacka, who previously served as an assistant coach for the Warriors for three years, takes over from Jay Bowler, who stepped down due to
work commitments. Tallbacka brings extensive coaching experience, having been the head boys basketball coach at Conneaut from the 2005-06 to the 2022-23 season, and also coaching at Ashtabula, Lakeside, and Brookfield. Last season, the Warriors achieved a 10-12 record overall and a 5-5 record in their league, securing a Division IV Northeast 4 sectional title with a 59-52 victory over Jefferson. The team is expected to return several key players, including seniors JJ DuFour, Zaiden Fox, Paul Siler II, and Willie Guyton, along with promising underclassmen like Chase Morris and Trenton Tallbacka.
