Canadian Solar is significantly expanding its manufacturing capabilities in the United States, despite reporting a second-quarter net loss of $77 million. The company has initiated operations at the first phase of its heterojunction (HJT) cell plant in Jeffersonville,
Indiana, which is projected to reach a capacity of 6.3 gigawatts (GW) upon completion of Phase II. Additionally, its module plant in Mesquite, Texas, has doubled its capacity from 5 GW to 10 GW.
