ChipMango, a California-headquartered semiconductor technology company, has successfully closed a $1.9 million seed funding round. The investment, led by Atlantica Ventures with participation from DFS Labs, Kaleo Ventures, Madica, Trilinear Technologies,
Malta Ventures, and other investors, is earmarked for expanding ChipMango's commercial engineering work and workforce development platform. The company aims to grow its operations across Africa, the United States, and Europe. ChipMango focuses on the design and verification stages of semiconductor development, not manufacturing. Its strategy involves developing engineers with chip-design skills and deploying them on commercial semiconductor design projects. The company's workforce platform provides browser-based access to professional semiconductor design environments, intelligent learning support, and electronic design automation (EDA) tools. ChipMango has also joined Arm's Approved Training Partner program to deliver official Arm training and collaborates with academic institutions like Ohlone College in California and the University of Pretoria in South Africa to build a talent pipeline.
