What's Happening?
Royal Caribbean has teamed up with The Wiggles and Planet Ark to plant a tree for each of the first 1,000 families booking a Wiggly-themed cruise during the 2026-27 summer season. This initiative, launched in conjunction with National Tree Day, aims to integrate
environmental action into family vacations. The cruises will feature performances and activities with The Wiggles, and the Royal Caribbean Group Foundation will donate AU$20,000 for native tree planting in Queensland and New South Wales. The partnership seeks to enhance the cruise experience while promoting sustainability.
Why It's Important?
This collaboration highlights the growing trend of incorporating environmental consciousness into leisure activities. By linking family vacations with sustainability efforts, Royal Caribbean and The Wiggles are setting a precedent for the travel industry to engage in eco-friendly practices. This initiative not only enhances the appeal of the cruises but also raises awareness about environmental issues among families. As consumers increasingly prioritize sustainability, such partnerships can strengthen brand loyalty and contribute to broader environmental goals.
