Mårten Mickos, a Finnish-American executive known for his leadership in open-source and cybersecurity, has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Board for Enfuce Financial Services. Enfuce, a Helsinki-based card issuing platform, is looking to expand
its operations across Europe. Mickos is recognized for transforming MySQL into a billion-dollar business before its acquisition by Sun Microsystems in 2008. He also led Eucalyptus Systems and served as CEO of HackerOne, a vulnerability coordination platform, until 2024. His appointment follows Denise Johansson taking over as the sole CEO of Enfuce in March 2026. Enfuce operates as a regulated EMI entity with licenses in Finland and the UK, serving brands, banks, and fintechs across the EEA.
