What's Happening?
The Venture Center has announced the fourth cohort of the Arkansas Lithium Technology Accelerator (ALTA), the nation's first accelerator dedicated to lithium and battery supply chain innovation. This three-week program will immerse participating companies
in Arkansas's emerging lithium economy, connecting them with key stakeholders including lithium producers, researchers, investors, manufacturers, and economic development leaders. The cohort, running through September, will visit Magnolia, Little Rock, and Northwest Arkansas, providing direct exposure to the state's resources and infrastructure. The program's focus areas include lithium production and processing, battery materials, manufacturing, commercialization, capital access, research, logistics, and strategic partnerships. The three companies selected for Cohort Four are ACT-ion Battery Technologies, Princeton Critical Minerals, and Arcam, each representing different stages of the lithium and battery supply chain, from extraction to recycling. This initiative aims to integrate these technologies into Arkansas, thereby expanding the state's role in developing the broader domestic battery supply chain.
