Rocket Lab has been selected by Viasat to construct the spacecraft bus for the U.S. Space Force's Protected Tactical SATCOM-Global program. This contract falls under Viasat's $218.8 million prime contract, which was awarded in May. Rocket Lab will provide
its Lightning-GEO spacecraft platform, designed to carry Viasat's dual-band anti-jamming payload. The company recently reported record second-quarter revenue of $234.1 million, marking a 62% year-over-year increase, and its backlog surged by 137% to $2.36 billion.
