Recent patches submitted to the Linux kernel mailing list suggest that AMD's upcoming Zen 6 client desktop and laptop SoCs will support the Host System Management Port (HSMP) driver. Historically, this driver was used for AMD's EPYC server processors,
but it is now being adapted for the Medusa and Olympic Ridge client platforms. The patches include references to overclocking and the Ryzen Master software, which is currently exclusive to Windows. This development could allow open-source projects to create their own overclocking interfaces for Linux, similar to the approach taken with AMD Radeon graphics.
