What's Happening?
Paradise Group has successfully registered the trademark 'Edena' for its upcoming ultra-luxury hotel project in Jangchung-dong, Seoul. The hotel, which aims to achieve the highest luxury standards akin to brands like Aman and Bulgari, will feature 189
rooms and various facilities across 18 floors. The project is part of a larger hotel belt connecting Busan, Incheon Yeongjongdo, and Seoul. Paradise Group plans to collaborate with Chef Kang Min-koo, known for his Michelin three-star restaurant Mingles, to offer world-class Korean cuisine at the hotel. The collaboration is expected to continue until the hotel's opening in 2028.
Why It's Important?
The development of the Edena hotel represents a significant investment in South Korea's luxury hospitality sector, potentially attracting high-end tourists and boosting local tourism. The collaboration with Chef Kang Min-koo could elevate the hotel's culinary offerings, making it a destination for food enthusiasts. This project aligns with Paradise Group's strategy to expand its presence in the luxury market, enhancing its brand reputation and competitive edge. The hotel could also contribute to the local economy by creating jobs and stimulating related industries such as food and beverage, construction, and tourism.
What's Next?
Paradise Group will continue to develop the Edena hotel, with plans to finalize its design and construction by 2028. The collaboration with Chef Kang Min-koo will likely involve further development of the hotel's culinary offerings, potentially leading to new dining concepts and menus. As the project progresses, Paradise Group may announce additional partnerships or initiatives to enhance the hotel's luxury appeal. Stakeholders, including local government and tourism agencies, may engage with Paradise Group to maximize the economic benefits of the hotel.
