The Maui Pony Allstars 14U baseball team is hosting a fundraising event by selling Fukushima hot dogs in Kīhei, Hawaii. The event, part of Kīhei 4th Friday, aims to raise $1,700 to support the team's travel to the Pony Regional Tournament in West Covina,
California. The team, consisting of 12 members, qualified for the regional tournament by winning the state tournament in Hilo. If successful in California, they will advance to the Printscape PONY League World Series in Washington, Pennsylvania. The hot dogs are made using a recipe from the now-closed Fukushima Store, a local favorite.
