The Ann and Roy Butler Hike-and-Bike Trail in Austin, Texas, is once again utilizing goats to manage brush and poison ivy. The Trail Conservancy employs these animals to clear hazardous vegetation in areas that are difficult for machinery and ground crews
to access. The goats are managed by handlers from Rent-a-Ruminant and work within a fenced enclosure. This eco-friendly approach not only helps maintain the trail but also raises awareness about the conservancy's efforts. The program includes an Adopt-a-Goat initiative, allowing supporters to sponsor the herd.
