What's Happening?
Holy Rosary Credit Union (HRCU) has announced the appointment of Kayla Selhorst as its new president and CEO, effective October 1, 2026. Selhorst will work alongside the current president and CEO, Brian Hughes, until his retirement on December 31, 2026,
to ensure a smooth transition. Selhorst was selected after a national search conducted by the executive search firm Smith & Wilkinson. She currently holds the position of senior vice president and chief operating officer at CME Federal Credit Union in Columbus, Ohio. Her responsibilities there include overseeing lending, retail delivery, member experience, operations, and strategic initiatives. Selhorst also serves on the Ohio Credit Union League Board of Directors. Her career has been marked by a focus on employee development, member relationship strengthening, and positioning community credit unions for long-term success.
Why It's Important?
The appointment of Kayla Selhorst as CEO of HRCU is significant as it marks a leadership transition in one of New Hampshire's strongest performing community credit unions, which serves over 25,000 members and manages assets exceeding $500 million. Selhorst's extensive experience and strategic vision are expected to build upon the solid foundation established by Brian Hughes during his 22-year tenure. Her leadership style and commitment to community engagement and advancing the credit union movement are anticipated to further enhance HRCU's reputation and service quality. This transition is crucial for maintaining the credit union's growth trajectory and ensuring continued member satisfaction and community support.
What's Next?
As Selhorst prepares to take over the leadership of HRCU, she will focus on working closely with Brian Hughes to ensure a seamless transition. This period will involve familiarizing herself with the credit union's operations and strategic goals. The transition phase will also include engaging with staff and members to understand their needs and expectations. Selhorst's leadership is expected to bring new initiatives aimed at enhancing member services and expanding community outreach. The credit union's board and stakeholders will likely monitor the transition closely to ensure that the strategic objectives are met and that the credit union continues to thrive under new leadership.
